Yesterday i bought one of the last 372's in the US. So far i love it. How many of you other guys have a 372? Any problems yet?

Many, many have one or several. That saw is tried and true. No problems to worry about.

They've been in the process of being discontinued for two years now. There'll likely be another pallate or two "show up" at some point in time.

Welcome to AS.

I've got two 372's and one of its smaller brother, the 365 and one in sheeps clothing (red Jonsered 2071)... I have a pair of parts saws in case I should have any problems when they are discontinued. One of the best saws ever made, IMO.

I didn't want you to get he wrong idea about having the parts saws...

I ran a pair of 365's (same as a 372 with a smaller bore) for 7 years and only had one problem....The oiler worm gear went this past year. Not too bad of a service life if you ask me. They have cut a ton of wood over the years....

heavy. vibrating. underpowered. I despise mine. it gets its butt kicked everyday by a 50cc dolmar
imo, utter waste of money

Troll, I cant help but wonder if the 361 you guys get is different from our version. That or the one I got was just a slow one. I really wasn't impressed until I had Ed turn it around.

Well, my German made one just rippppps - also with an 8-pin with the 15" bar....:rockn: :rockn:
The muffler and the piston is different from the VB ones, power rating is just .1 kW more though.......

Btw, nice to talk to you, as Begleytree sort of ruined my mood this evening - now it is a bit better.........

Something is wrong with your 372 then.
The only way a 5100 is going to hang with a 372 is if your cutting tooth picks.

yeah, I was supprised to, after all the good feedback on this site about 372xp's.
nope, it runs like it should, only after you get into wood over 18" dia, does the husky pull ahead, ever so slightly.
come on down, I'll let you run them both, and you can see that I'm not telling stories.

I love the 5100. A fantastic saw that can't be appreciated until you run it.

However, I have to agree with Ben. Get up into about 16-17" diameter or larger and it can't keep up with my 365.....forget the 372.

Ralph, maybe your 372 needs a checkup:biggrinbounce2:

hmm, maybe I should throw a 16" bar and chain on it. bet it would cut then. here all this time I've been gutting it trying to run a 20" on it.:jawdrop:

Ralph, next time I am down, have your 372 ready to run. Maybe i will figure something out that you overlooked on its pos running status.
