Recently acquired a 390xp 2016 saw. Needed some love tank was faded, ugly plastics and dirty. Cleaned it up, installed new plastics, clutch cover, and tank. When I pulled the old tank I noticed it had the tank breather line removed and a felt plug in its place. I went back together w the factory line and elbow, cleaned out the filter on the back of the intake elbow. Question is should i have swapped the felt plug for the factory setup? I've heard of issues with the breather. Saw also is running really rich, cant adjust the idle. Thought i had the right tool for the jets but apparently not, so when I get some time I'll have to double check their 1 1/4 out and go from there then check for a kinked fuel line etc.

I got it. Pulled the limiters and cut off the stops. Set everything at 1 turn and boom. Adjusted her up and made a triple port for it today. Sounds good and runs great now.

Still curious about the vent. Is this something I will end up having to do down the road?
I replace the new ones that have a line with the old brown type and the little white donut that covers them. If you're worried about the line getting crud in it put an echo vent on the end of it.

Excuse the ignorance but what's eco run for a vent? If I keep the saw clean like I should I dont think itll be an issue but if theres something better...
