I would really like to pick up a bigger saw for milling, but money is in fairly short supply. I noticed quite a few 394’s on e-bay as of late. Any thoughts on them and wouldn’t mind a little feed back on who to buy from and who to stay away from. If you want to contact me directly: [email protected].

I will also add that I know the 066’s seem to be the preferred saw in this size range, but I am
Looking at husky because: Bars are interchangeable with my 372 and local Stihl dealer just went out of business.

Also,
Just don’t seem to see many used 3120’s and especially for under $400.

Why not get new?

Dealers from this site could get you a 395 for under$600
You could get a 3120 for under $800.

If you don't get it from someone on this site they sell them new with the 2 year warranty for $525 and $840 respectively on eBay.

I think the warranty is worth the $100 or so dollars difference between new and used ... especially when you compare it to some of those "sellers" on eBay.

One great person I bought from on eBay is Jeff (he is on this chat site).
I bought a ported out new/rebuilt 066 from Saw-King and lead_harvester for $550 delivered. the only used parts on the saw were the crank halves. Came with quart oil 3 new bars 25" 32" 36" six chains dozen files manuals and 30 day unconditional warranty.

I would stay away from lead_harvester as he has been suspended from ebay and has not been straight forward with me.

"pay a little more and use a dealer"

and always remember it only cost a little bit more to go broke "first class"

Talked to lead_harvester tonight

This is a quote from him:

It was an unfortunate mix-up. A seller tried the number in my contact info,
which is my work number. Unfortunately I have been on leave of absence for
medical reasons and didn't get the message for a few days. By then they had
already contacted E-bay and it was too late. E-bay doesn't believe in any
kind of "investigation" or trying to get the facts straight. They just up
and canned me.

All I know is he treated me very good and gave me stuff even after he cashed the check and delivered the product.

But don't worry he is done with eBay.
For a seller the buyer is always correct in the eyes of eBay.

don

since my last post I spoke with Lead_Harvester also and you are right about his problems. things out of his control caused me some problems and he has since corrected them and then some. bought a 046 and a 026 that where great.

ebay did not give him a fair shake I would buy more from him
