I have a 395xp and like the saw alot. Pulls very well with the longer bars. I would seriously look at the 385 unless you plan to lay down real big timber. The reason I think you would enjoy owning the 385 over the 395 is the difference in the clutch. One has an inboard while the other has a outboard clutch. You will find it much easier to change out the bar and chain on the 385 if you are not familiar with the outboard clutch.Just a thought! If you mod the muffler on the 385 it should pull as well as a 395, maybe even a stock 066. Good luck!!!!!!
