It's pretty much impossible to hide a big ol' muscle saw from either of those guys...I may have to send both of them something special so's I can reserve the next 3100G for me... :)

I saw a couple of those clunkers setting under a carport in a garage sale may have to go get em!

Ive got a Ranger :monkey:

I finally got to use the 394 I got last week today. I was very impressed with the torque of it. I think it is a lot stronger than a 660 or a 390.

I need to wait until I have a good sized log to test in before I port it. I used a 28" bar and full comp chain and it didn't even seem to bother it. I guess I'll throw the 32" stihl bar on it next time.

Oh ya, big bar, no problem. By buddy runs a 42 on a stock 395 with no problems.

Yeah I might be buying another bar for it sometime soon. I've been freehand slabbing a lot of wood lately mostly noodling it into thinner pieces. I'm sure it wouldn't have a problem with a 36" or 42" using it that way.

+2, Ill run a 42" on my 394 if need be. I know it will pull it through 40" white oak. A 36 stays on it most of the time.
And its stock.

This one will stay stock for atleast another week. We just moved into the new house and I don't have my table with vise and any of the tools there yet.
