I picked up a 394XP last fall with some intentions of fixing it up a bit and "playing" saw modifyer along with the rest of the yahoos, err, I mean mekanical engeneers. I knew it needed some parts so I kept looking for another parts saw to round it all out. Picked up another a couple weeks ago and found some interesting stuff. I think it has mud dauber wasps! Musta been left out where it was exposed and got a lil damp. The recoil was rusted all together and came sproining out at me when I pulled it apart. I swapped out a coiuple parts, used a bunch of lube and rust penetrant, filled it with some gas and put some in the carb, reassembeld it and wadda ya know, she runs great. The good news is my parts saw is now a well running, ripping wood eater. The bad news, I have to still find another parts saw for the first one! The guy I bought it from threw in about 25 chains and some look like they have never been sharpened.
