It all depends on how many hours you have on the saw. By looking at your signature I assume you make money with your saws? If you have a lot of hours on it I'd just sell it online and buy yourself a new one.

compute ruser ,,, that sounds like a fair deal, you can have the saw , ill box it and ship it, send a ck made to me 350$ to cover s/h:chainsaw:
 
If that's all they're going to do, that's some awful steep labor for top end replacement. Is the cause of failure known?
 
not sure the cause it was a used saw from the beginning,,, the dealer est. the parts at 350 and the rest labor,,, ill research the parts and maybe fix it myself,
