I been a wood stove salve forever. Last winter I ran the crarp out of my heat pump. Around Christmas we had cold spell around zero. The wood stove got little behind. At zero the heat pump made 87 degrees. At 62 staying warm is at different level .

My wood boiler keeps the house 76F and we were -30F a few years back
My wood stove can get the house too hot no matter how cold it gets.
If we get a long cold spell sub-zero I have to keep an eye on the temperature in the cellar. Seen it in the ~30s oF, never below 35 oF.
