I thought that I used to know what saw people were talking about just by the model number.
Then I realized that there are:

STIHL MS460 chainsaws;



Husqvarna 460 chainsaws;


Dolmar PS460 chainsaws;



And there were:

McCulloch Titanium 460 chainsaws;



Stiga P 460 chainsaws (sorry - no photo);

Olympyk (and Oleo-Mac) 460A chainsaws;



And Homelite 460 chainsaws (sorry -closest photo I could find):

Has any other model number been used by so many manufacturers?

('450' also seems to be pretty popular!)

Wow. When someone posts just 460 I wondered if it was a Husky or Stihl. Thanks for clearing that up 390 is another of those.

"460 Chainsaws" might also describe what some A.S. members have in their garages!
