It should do hard would too. Walnut elm ash is some very hard wood and ur saw should get through it. Id go buy a new chain even a crappy menards oregon and youl se a difference in how the saw performs. I heard a lot of good about efco saws the bad part about them was getting parts took a while

That wasn't my video...and the 355T i had i sold....i replaced the top handle twice and the chain brake and got tired of parts breaking. It was a decent saw but not built for everyday hard use.
 
Yeah that chain is shot and has been filed with to big of a file. A new chain and your saw will cut just fine
You see more than I do.. I'll admit to using to big of a file couldn't I just grind down the steel in front of the saw for now to make it more aggressive?

That wasn't my video...and the 355T i had i sold....i replaced the top handle twice and the chain brake and got tired of parts breaking. It was a decent saw but not built for everyday hard use.
I took a spacer out of my chain brake and it solved many issues with the lever. But havent had a problem with mine yet just hate the ignition advance crap

I used a 5/32 file to sharpen this last time I had been using that electric grinder I don't even know what size that stone is bigger than I've ever used before though

Id just buy a new chain and youl like your saw till it dulls up
 
Idk maybe I can come up with a paying job I've just been doin some spring cleaning I'm out of work right now right now though so I can't be sinking any money into it
