Recon Observe Mark And Destroy
Nothing spectacular. Factory, only one they offer as far i know, is a bit on the flimsy and weak side. Had a 562xp inner with chain catch here and got to thinking... Since the crankcase holes do not line up and elongating one hole, on 562xp dog, seemed like a bad idea due to lack of material left.... I figured why not weld one to the other! So i did. And walah... Nice dog and chaincatch setup... And high temp rustoleum paint to boot.
Factory dog is closest to the bar so that screw heads tighten against the factory holes.
Cost to me was my time on the Miller 252 and im not sure what inner dog cost me..
Saw had 12 hours on it, some tree care company in Indy employee straight gassed it..
I gave $125.00 for saw, he listed on CL at that price so I left work early for that one!!
Bought oem topend on ebay for $80.00 shipped.
Put in new carb kit..
Put 3/8-7 sprocket on clutch drum.
Put NOS GB 16" 3/8 bar and full comp Carlton chain on it.
Had D and D in Salem IN make sure that carb was tuning like it was supposed to, and it was.. I was concerned that the "straight gas" story might not have been completely true.
Around $225.00 in a 2015 550xp . I am ok with that.
