Greetings Jonsered enthusiasts.I have a 910E that I believe has a bad ignition module.I changed out the plug & before that I had it running, but very erratically. Now when I try to start it it just does a loud pop.I tried checking for spark & didn't see any.Anyone have a good ignition module they'd be willing to sell?I'd also like to know the part #,I'm having issues with my eyes & I can't read the IPL very well.

Did you examine the wires on the module? The Swedes, like the Germans, were experimenting with soy-based wire insulation to be 'eco-friendly'. What I've seen in the 910s routinely are bare wires and bad insulation. The model isn't known to have dead modules like the infamous 70e SEMS modules.

Re-insulate the wires and give it another try......part #4620022, #4391006 for the coil & module.

No,I haven't had a chance to look at it yet,but I should be able to later this week. Thanks for the info!

I recall having to cover bare wires on my 910 with liquid tape.

Yes, we even talked about that here. Apparently, there's been some buyouts and amalgamations of the liquid tape companies. I used to recommend a marine liquid tape, but that's been replaced by a more common brand that I don't care for.

I also found with liquid tape that if it's exposed to a lot of heat cycling, like in an engine compartment, it gets brittle and can crack over time. I was very surprised at that......
