562xp cuts faster than 572xp

So I got a 572 last weekend and have ran about 5 tanks through it, there was definitely a point where it “woke up” but after switching back and forth between the two, the 562 cuts a lot faster I was wondering if this was normal because I would’ve expected to 572 to cut quicker or is it’s main benefit having more torque to pull a longer bar and the 562 is more of a top end hp type saw? 24 in on 572 and 20 in on 562

Seriously?? Damn... I have both but never cut side by side with them. Never would have assumed that. Very interesting... Looking forward to more info on this.

I think I’ll take the 372XP out and cut side-by-side with the 562XP and do an A/B compare.

Me too, I’ve sharpened both but it’s not the chain, the 562 i have feels much faster than the ms362 and the 572 feels like a ms461, it cuts well but it’s nothing special. Only used a ms462 once and it was dull so can’t really compare

A few vids on the YouTube have the 572 about 3 seconds faster but many variables to consider I'm sure. I'll bet some more folks will chime in soon that have run both a considerable amount and give us some good feedback.

Yeah I watched the videos but they have the same size bar on them, I’m thinking I’m going to have to make my own video and time them when I have time

Yeah definitely. I really want to see what you're experiencing.

My buddy is a dealer he runs three auto tunes with no problems so far. But in racing them there could be a difference speed wise.

This is spot on.

I used to have a 372 but still needed my 390 for big wood. Tried a 562 to reduce some weight on steep ground and it cut so stinkin good I went and bought one and now it’s my go to saw if I’m out logging it’s 562/390.

Okay so it’s not just me then. Glad to know because I thought my 572 was defective but I guess the 562 just cuts that good

I think the 562 is just one of those saws that hits the sweet spot and punches way higher than the specs say it should. But like other folks said go put a longer bar on the 572 and it will really come to life too.

See how it runs after ten and fifteen tanks, in my limited experience that’s when a new saw really shows what it got. The 562 could still be faster after that but I would wait and see if it changes.

White oak, the largest part is roughly 30in in diameter, I have quite a few more that I’m going to take out as well, the wood is quite a bit bigger probably in the 40s which is why I bought the 572 so I wouldn’t kill the 562

40” is not 70cc saw material either, need 80-90cc saw for that

I’m not putting the 562 in wood that big, I limb them up with it and cut till the wood gets about 20in and then switch, yeah a 90 cc would do it better but it’s overkill for most applications so I can get by with the 70cc for a few trees
