My 1st saw I ran 40:1
Same thing happens to new back in December. I had the saw about 9 months. 107 hours in it. It has the same symptoms as yours does now. They tell me it's because of bad gas... they call me 30 mins later and say the decomp had a leak and cylinder is scorched. Now they say I get a new saw..... now 4 months later on the 2015 new saw it's doing the same thing my 1st 2014 saw they replaced is doing! It may need a trip to the dealer
Keep us posted please! Not sure about the second one YET
Of course. You tooKeep us posted please!
I'd get a Dolmar 6100 before a 362.Wondering how the new Stihl 362 will hold up?
yes, Makita owns Dolmar. Is Makita the same as Dolmar? Same easy start - same 2 year warranty - look the same - specs seem the same.
32:1 or 40:1 would have been better.Oh man this sounds like bad news, not the good news I was hoping for with an easy fix . whatever's causing it my saw has had this hot start issue since new ! They replaced the carburetor which gave it significantly more power but the hard start when hot problem is still there. So far there has been nothing but about 10 gallons of premium ethanol free gas mixed with Husqvarna 50-1 oil run through my saw.
These new strato charged saws need a little more oil. The epa does not want that though, is the reason for 50:1.Better how ? Why would Husqvarna recommend 50-1 if 40-1 or 30-1 was better ? I have used nothing but 50-1 in all my 2 stroke stuff since about 1981 and never any trouble caused by insufficient oil use, at least none that I'm aware of.
I read this a lot. Has anyone ever seen anything where the EPA specified oil mix ratios? Or is it just that it's harder to pass the tests with more oil? I actually understood that 50:1 pre-dates the emissions regs, but my memory could be faulty. These new strato charged saws need a little more oil.
