$400.00, will deliver/meet you within reason (Williamsport PA, Elmira/Corning NY or nearby)

I tried to install it in my old 8" clay chimney and it just didn't go. It shows some marks from attempting to install, and from "squareizing" the pipe per the manufacturer's recommendations. It is 100% functional and will fit in a straighter 8" clay flue, or any bigger flue.

I am taking a hit at $400.00, so the price is pretty firm. Please ask me if you have any questions.

Not an offer to buy, just a thought on installation. Perhaps, if you could fab up a metal cone to put on one end, and put some decent weight in it, then it might drop down and be able to go around twists and turns easier. In addition, a hole in the end with a rope. Weight the rope also, take it out down at your flue, and use that with a helper to help snake it down and through to your heater.

So, cone with hole in the end. This is screwed to the end of the pipe, or pop rivets, whatever.. The pipe is INSIDE the cone, no lip to snag that way. Inside cone, rope is tied to some weight, not sure what, something decent though, like 5 lbs. Loose end of rope down the flue, that has a weight on it as well, perhaps a heavy big socket (that's what I use for a weighted throw line, an old big socket) Fish that rope out, even if you need a stiff wire hook, clotheshangar, etc., once you have that out, proceed with snaking the pipe. The cone will help it slide around obstructions. The cone can be any sort of scrap sheetmetal.

Have to do this with pigtails, etc fishing cables around stuff, down twisty conduits, etc. Got to make the end streamlined so nothing snags and a tug makes it keep going.

Thanks for the thoughts Zogger.

We did try most of the tricks you mentioned (We bent the end of the pipe into a cone shape and attached a rope. I pulled on the rope hard enough that the rope broke, but the liner held tight). The real problem is that, although the OD of the liner is less than the inside dimensions of the existing clay chimney, the joints are offset and sloppy, and the chimney is curved. I would have to downsize to probably 5.5" liner to get anything down there, and that is just to small for that monstah Charmaster that I put in. We ended up just cleaning and inspecting the whole length of the old chimney, and properly repairing the place where a second appliance used to be connected (a big no-no).

That being said, I might reconsider my offer to deliver only within a reasonable distance - if it was for a trip to sunny Georgia ;)

Ha! I was actually thinking of upgrading everything next year some time, stove plus add a liner. I was pricing liners and a few straight sections and a T would fit here OK for cheap. I could get by with 15 foot kit I think, ain't too far from room to outside the old brick chimney..

With that said, the state of jawjah is happy to take tourista dollahs! Buy peaches/pecans/apples/peanuts and vidalia onyums! hehehehe

I think though this might be the last nice weekend, polar vortex is supposed to hit and temps dropping. Still sunny or mostly sunny though. Winter, not so hot, rains a lot and muddy. Early fall is the best of the year usually. Saw two fawns and a doe this morning walking across the yard across the street, and got a snap of some big honkers coming over to check out the fuzzy guy and the dogs. This is my boss's front yard..we live in a shack....

Crap, if only it was a 6". I'll have to read my manual to see if this will work. This is exactly what I need.

Ambull01, let me know what you come up with. I believe that, typically, going up 1/2" will not hurt things, and possibly increase your draft, but your manual may say differently.

The outer diameter of the pipe is right around 6-3/4", so check that against your flue inner dimensions.

Will do.

Should be no problem fitting into my flue. I don't really need a flex liner either as it is basically a straight shot up from the firebox to the chimney cap.
