PRO MARK/GRAVELY 210 6'' disc chipper 18HP Kohler mag.

I went through this machine from top to bottom this summer.
Dis assembled all parts...sand blasted, primed & painted kubota orange.
Replaced main disc bearings, idler pully bearings, bronze bushings, bed knife, lift jack and bolts & nuts.

Rebuilt motor, reground valves & seats, deglazed cylinders, piston rings were well within tolerance on ring end gap, new gaskets & air filter.

Hit the key and this thing roars to life!!
This chipper is in top condition, it is easy to service..main bearings have greese zerks. The clutch is a belt & idler pulley set up, so there are no clutch plates to wear out. It is a very simple...back to the basics designed machine.

Chips limbs up to 3 1/2'' dia....easy!
Chips brush as fast as you can throw it in!
Makes a nice size wood chip for use as mulch.

I have been using this chipper doing tree work on evenings & weekends.
This has been a good 1st chipper for me...it beats the heck out of loading brush & mulching it down with a chain saw onto a trailer or truck.
It will make a good 1st chipper for the next person.

Comes with owners & parts books.
PM me if interested....here are a few pics to look at.

$ 2600.
:)

A chipper just like that was my first chipper 20 years ago. A Promark 210 w/18hp Kohler engine. It is a good machine.

Stumper,
Yes I am moving up, not sure what I'll get. Im keeping my eyes open. I'll have pics later of this thing in action from todays work,
got a b-day party to attend. Got to go now.

what kinda grease do you use on those disc bearings? I have a similar chipper and some lithium grease, i'm trying to decide if it is the right thing to use.

looks like a nice little machine

I don't know about David but I use lithium grease in mine. NOT white lithium though-The NGLC II stuff -buttery yellow, Moly or the red EP. The Red greases withstand higher Timken loads and are a better choice for disc bearings IMO but they all work well if used often.

I use the red high temp grease, I'm not so sure one is much better than anouther brand. I'm in the habit of greasing after each job, i just give each bearing 2 pumps.

Sold this chipper yesterday. I figured the first person to look at it and see it work would buy it. Thats what happened. 2400$ to a local guy.

:blob2:

That is great David. I hope the Olathe serves you long and well-but if you need to turn your money on it, I doubt it will be difficult.

David Hardman

Looks like you should invest in a more professional looking work truck. Those "convertible" types don't get much business around here.

Sturgeon, There is something fishy about you. It is SO NICE of you to enter into David's thread and criticize his equipment. Fortunately for David he doesn't live near you so whatever may or may not be true "around there" isn't relevant.

David, I think that you are doing well with your partime business equipment. You did a great job on the Gravely paint-Hope your Olathe works well for you.

Sttumper

He does have a nice truck. I was only suggesting he update his appearance. I'm guessing you're probably in the same boat. Why not invest in a real work truck before moving on to a bigger chipper? And by the way Sttumper, around here is Central Florida
