A concrete problem

I took down an elm tree today that had a cavity filled with concrete about 8 feet high. It seems like alot of old timers do this. When i went out and priced it I saw it and priced the tree to get it down to the concrete and gave him an hourly rate to get the concrete out and grind the stump. He chose to have me take the tree down and he is going to fool with the concrete. I'm kinda relieved, I was planning on renting a small jack hammer and bust it all out then find some old chains and see what i could do with it. I will post a pic of it tomorrow, I have to go back out there to get the wood. Glad i dont have to mess with it.

If the concrete is crumbling then it should be easy to break up. If not, then we have to rent either the concrete saw or jackhammer.

It starts tomorrow.......

I had a white ok removal like that in Ancaster last year , the log weighed
10 000 pounds when dropped. we used jack hammers to brake it and concrete saw, they do not cut Wood at all.
left the stump at 2-3 feet of the ground me and the client wanted nothing do do with it at all.

We all so found lead shot in the tree at approx. 130 years ago from counting the rings.

good luck

Too funny! We may have to grind the stump out so no leaving it high. I always said I got into this for the challenge and here it is.

There'll be an old chain to finish the cut and then hammer and chisel. WE'RE OLD SCHOOL!! YIKES!
