with the grinder and welder and I have something I can file loose chains on while sitting down!

"necesity is the mother of all invention"
Maybe I will steal your idea and patent it..just kidding, you should patent it!
Like the workbench it looks like mine, except I used 1" oak planking (milled myself) covered in 16ga sheet metal instead of 1/2" osb...
Good Idea!!-Matt

i like the way u made it heavy. u grandkids will tell there kids what u did with it. im thinking about something like that. mabe big enough to close a worn bars tolerances. still in my head tho.

I can set where the handle stops with the jam nuts. It works ok so far, i need to make the mount on the bench different.

That looks like a real good idea I've been thinking about making something similar to that for a while now but I let my friend borrow my welder,so I guess it'll have to wait..Great idea though it's amazing what you can do with a welder in a matter of minutes..:D

Later Rob..

Jim.
I like it! I am going to steal your idea except for the mount.
I've got an open spot next to my bench that I will permanently attach the holder on its own bench. Also, great idea with the lock nuts to make sure the handle doesnt get in the way.
Hope you dont mind. :)
Mike.

have at it. I am going to make some changes this week probably.
Add something to keep the thing from opening so far the chain drops in..

I think if you use an old 3/8" drive breaker bar instead of the tee handle, you will be able to swing it out of your way,no need for the adjusting nuts.Just weld the square drive part of the bar to your bolt.
Another thought would be duct tape, maybe Red Greene could show us how.LOL
Later
Dan
