That's entirely possible. This is what gets reported to TCI and they pass it along.The number I've seen is that 3 people per week are killed in the tree care industry.
I'm pretty sure the TCIA monthly reports/calendar is based on what their media search finds - not all accidents are reported in the media... that calendar is certainly a good visual though! It certainly gets more difficult to get those stats together as there is not one central all-inclusive database. Not all are reported to OSHA either and not all go through worker's comp (especially if the company wasn't paying in...which I tend to think the "fly by nights" are more dangerous and less likely to be paying workers comp or reporting to OSHA).That's entirely possible.
