Got most of my junk together for a few pictures... You're looking at a lot of homemade stuff here. Because I'm poor, have enough fab skills to build what I want instead of having the money to go buy it lol. But I owe nothing on anything pictured so hate away lol
04 3500 6x6 5.9 Cummins 8x9 flatbed 10k winch
12k 16+3' homemade gooseneck
7k homemade log trailer (bumper pull)
Home brew mini log skidder (Vermeer V440 trencher in previous life) 60hp Perkins diesel 12k hydraulic winch from a wrecker, 4 way hydraulic blade
5.5 HP Honda 11 GPM 2 stage 5.5" x26" splitter with hydraulic crane
22hp Kubota diesel powered Jacobsen Turf Cat mower with homemade log splitter attachment on 13 GPM single stage circuit 4" x34" cylinder (twice as fast as the trailered splitter)
MS660 with 24" full chisel
Ported MS360 with 18" semi chisel
(Not pictured saws: 028 super av, modded ms170, 009)

Enjoy!

I almost bought a bigger trencher at auction to build a small cable skidder.

We use two 648 grapples, but they are expensive to move (need pilot car) and not practal for smaller jobs. Have a 550 dozer with forestry package but the frame is broken on it.

I forget the model but it was articulating and had a 4-53 Detroit in it. It sold for around $15k which was more that I wanted to spent. Had close to 10,000hrs and no clue if the engine and pump were orgibal.

I dont think you and i have the same definition of the word "poor". Looks like some seriously badass eqiipment to me man!
Lol thanks! Well one year ago I was firing up my central boiler for the first time in my life ever using wood heat. I had only a 009 Stihl top handle and knew nothing about a sharp chain. I scraped by through the winter burning slab wood scraps from a mill. Last winter I built the splitter attachment for my mower, bought the 170 and 360, then rebuilt the 360 and modded it at the same time, then modded the 170. Then bought the big splitter which was used as a stationary unit on the ground. I added the axle, wheels, tires, tongue, jacks, log trays, out feed tray, fixed some poor plumbing on the valves, the predator engine took a dump and I swapped on a Honda I had and kept splitting. Then caught deal of a lifetime on the trencher, a fair deal on the gooseneck trailer which was just a rolling frame, another deal of a lifetime on the 660, threw together the log trailer from a camper frame, then rebuilt and restored the gooseneck. Then I did the skidder conversion. All while working a full time job plus cutting and selling firewood on the side on top of some occasional residential tree removal jobs. I'm a busy guy! Lol I've cut and split somewhere around 20 cords mostly by myself this year I think. I made a setup to mount my 10k electric winch on the truck bed and parbuckle logs onto it. ATV winch same method on the log trailer.

It sounds like it didnt take you long to figure out what you needed. I never seem to get great deals. They only come around when im broke.
Pretty much lol. I wheel and deal in lawn and garden equipment some, occasional vehicles, some scrap metal and do a bit of small engine repair and occasional fab job on the side also. I hustle to say the least.

I would be thrilled just to have your garage so I could build my own junk. I sure miss working in a fab shop where I could build my own junk on my own time.

Bet that Dodge was a pisser to build. Nice arsenal.
You got me there I didn't build the truck, but if you wanna get technical, I do work at the factory where it's engine was built lol

Thanks all. The shop is a 30x40 (10' ceiling) 8' tall by 9' wide overhead doors, insulated and heated (by the central boiler OWB). It isn't perfect to a T but I'm more than content and spoiled by having it.

Nice fleet. I wouldnt call it junk.
Thanks, just an expression I guess, when we used to all have jeeps we would take wheeling, we'd refer to them as our junk because we were always working on them and always breaking them lol you own a fleet of hand me down home made on a tight budget machines and well, the expression fits lol. OK in all honesty most of it is very reliable but being the person I am, always changing and modifying stuff as I see fit.

If we are talking about Cummins in Col. Ind. I took a lot of crankshafts there when I was driving truck.

Heck I might even know you and not know both at the same time.
Yep, I work at mid range plant in walesboro just off exit 64 on i65. Been here almost 4 years now. I drive forklift moving materials so it's possible we've handled the same cranks lol

Hey don't say nothing to my old lady about the cranks. She don't know about my other life.

Yeah if you ever noticed a white Kenworth in the parking lot that had a handsome godlike creature in it with arms like a blacksmith, chest like a Minotaur and honest as the day is long out by the docks it had to be me.

Looks better than some of the stuff I've tack welded together over the years. These boys here have no idea how good us grass cutters are at building stuff from nothing. We were recyclers before recycling was cool.

A few here have been at Lawnsite over the years but it sure wasn't love at first sight.
