Lol, ya missed out on the "What is your profession and why do ya need saws" thread, (and me not voting), there is a ton of variety out there (on here), I don't think a poll like this will fly as it leaves out soooo many folks, its a real mixed bag o' nuts imho (and fun too)! :monkey:
 (and good luck on this poll, thinking of doing one on 'Sock colors & materials' or 'Whats yer fave snack in the woods?' or 'Best TP to take with ya?', something really deep, myself, DOH!, givin' away my ideas agin! )

Serge

This one's tough. Do heat with wood, do log part time, do have a few acres(farm a little of it) and do like chainsaws.

You missed out self employed climbing arborist which is what I am, so I did not vote.

I would then logically vote Tree Company Owner with less than 5 employees as you are your own boss and have no staff .

Perhaps if you consider the word company in the context of Tree Business Owner it might assist your peripheral vision. :hmm3grin2orange:

What Guy said.

I am self employed arborist w/o certification, own my own LLC with no employees.

I dislike the phrase "tree trimmer" because it narrows the perceived scope of my knowledge, though it does describe the majority of my billable hours.

If one brakes trim and prune up so that trim entails work that does not conform with the natural growth habits of the trees, I still have to say I trim more for my clientel the I prune.

Then too, I am a killer of unwanted healthy trees more often then not too...

< part time trimmer/climber/removals etc. teh rets of the time i drive a sweet brand new HINO single axle big rig with roll off bin!

Seeing how the poll won't tell you too much about me... I'm

A Certified Arborist

No climbing
Lot's of pruning
Some consulting
A few seminars

Landscape Contractor - Certified Landscape Technician

Planting
Landscape renovation
Ponds and waterfeatures

Landscape Designer

Design plans
Advice "house calls" to offer ideas to homeowners

And I enjoy the outdoors a lot: hiking, camping, the beach.

In it's best days, it could contain an elephant. But its still stout. At least you know where to drag them. I got the GPS coordinates added just last week - trail is 20 minutes from here.

i voted but i don't really agree with what i had to pick from.
i do pretty much all of those things and more but i could only pick one.
heat with wood, climb/trimmer,part time logger, farm, chainsaw nut.
