Old2stroke - I tell folks "I have a chainsaw museum..." and that either ends the conversation, or it goes on for hours.

Chainsaws are unbelievably frustrating and temperamental unless you have a lot of knowledge you can't get from an owner's manual, and repair shops are run by imbeciles. No wonder owners become obsessed. If you want to survive, you have to.

I actually find them simple and easy to work on.
But I compare that to diesel equipment that I usually have to fix
