Looks sweet man. Camo wrap?

If I did that to my saws I'd be buying a new saw every week or so. I have a hard enough time keeping track of them in the woods.

I can see you're as good at insulting as you are at custom painting saws!

Remember, you asked for my opinion. ;)

And yeah, I'm a huge fan of pretty saws - check out Scooterbum's work.....

I wasn't trying to insult nor was I insulted. I'm pretty thick skinned esp when it comes to my "painting skills". I just thought what you said about not using it because it wasn't pretty was as out there as my paint job.

I've done some descent painting in the past but since having kids, I just don't have the time for the prepping, mixing, and cleaning that goes along with painting the right way. I barely found time to rattle can the thing without my wife wanting to blow the thing up.

Thaw exactly what i was thinking. I lose poulans in the woods I know I'd lose a camo saw. But if I had one tha perty I prolly wouldnt want to use it, don't want to get it dirty. Sweet saw. :msp_thumbsup:

should have been more specific

I was hoping to get more opinions on what people think of the color scheme itself and the idea of doing custom colors on a stihl. I couldn't find any pictures online of anyone else that's done it so I'm just curious. I figured it might also open up a thread of others that have customized their saws specifically Stihls and got away from the original colors Such as the badazz cammo saw.

I'm not interested in knowing how my skills are painting with walmart rattle can spray paint. I know it doesn't look like the finish of a Mercedez.
For the same reasons, I'm not even close to being offended by it either.

What's everything think of the colors and the idea of color changing on this or other saws like it.

I like the black but try a dark jonsered red on top

Thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to use Krylon Fusion because it's for plastic and I've used it on tool box handles before and it holds up real well to being handled and unfortunately that type of paint only comes in so many colors. Do you think just the top red so not the handle and gas tank section? I was going back and forth on that myself but I figured the ms290 has this kind of design with the top orange coming over to the handle at least.

What I'm thinking is if I still like it like this in a month or so, I might paint it professionally or have it painted in similar colors for good. Maybe add some flames or "firey things" as my kid said who, for some reason, couldn't come up with the word flames haha.

Been gone for a week But I figured I'd add another two cents.

First off it's your saw do what you want.

Second I personaly don't think your paint scheme turned out that bad, even with out the flames.
