? about kinetic logspliter

been doing alot of reading but havent really seen mentioned what size rack and pinion i should be looking for? i finally seen a video on youtube of one that used 14.5 degree 4pitch 2in wide rack and i think 15tooth pinion, is this what i should be aiming for or are there a better combo that works better?
