about sharpening

i've been meaning to ask about that
i have seen "specific" tools and jigs on the market for certain saws, or is it chain type maybe

anyhow, say i want to jump in and learn to field sharpen a chain,

and since it will frequently be rip chain, i don't mind spending 30

minutes to do it , if a clean cut takes an hour less to sand/

what might be my best option ?

i realize it may take a long time to become profiecient but i have time

i agree, temps in the 50's with the leaves turnin is hard to beat !!

Talk to Kevin from the MillingMasters, he will be able to give you the best advice on ripping chain, which we dont talk about too much on here.

As far as filing, make use of this site's search feature and search filing, sharpening, etc. EVERYTHING you need to know is there
