Well... our saws are run with high octane "premium unleaded" type gas available at local gas stations and mixed to 50:1 with Stihl's per-measured 2-cycle oil bottles. HOWEVER, in recent years my boss has been claiming that that mix isn't quite right and has been mixing our fuel more oil rich (2.2 gallons of gas with a bottle of oil intended to make 2.5 gallons). That said, it is very likely that these saws bit the dust before he started mixing the fuel this way. Anyway, does that give you any clues as to what may have happened to these saws?I REALLY hate to ask but.... do you know what type of gas and mix oil was used in these saws?
And getting a free 362 for rebuilding 2 is a fantastic opportunity.
I agree. This seems like too great of a deal to pass up. Sure... I may find that there is way more wrong with these saw then would be worth my while to get tangled up in, but nothing ventured, nothing gained!
