Add Red Armor oil to 50:1 Red Armor Fuel to get 40:1 mix?

Does anyone add a small amount of Echo Red Armor 2-cycle oil to their 50:1 premixed fuel to get a 40:1 mix ratio?

Add .6 ounces per gallon to make 40:1

No reason you can't, but I don't see a need. Red Armor works extremely well at 50:1. It's about the only oil I run at 50:1.

Thanks for your reply, bwalker. I see a lot of votes for Red Armor oil and also a lot of folks who advocate 40:1 ratio, even if the manufacturer says 50:1 will work. Just trying to get at whether it makes sense to richen the 50:1 ratio of the pre-mixed Red Armor Fuel to achieve 40:1.

Personally I would not bother and I run every other oil at 32:1 for the most part.
