That's a very clever solution for an adjustable bridge. Good on you!
I'll have to put my thinking cap on to remember x-Man's solution. If I remember correctly, it used a quick draw as the adjustable part. The climber could extend or collapse the bridge by using both ends of the draw.
Just shows that there are alwyas new ways to build a mousetrap!
