Do you guys leave a sign on someones front lawn after you complete a job? I think its a great way to let the neighborhood know, when they come home from work, that your company was working down the street.

This is something I've never done, but something Ive been meaning to do.

Does anyone know a place that sells these online that allows you to send your company logo(not just text) to them?

I have (3) 3'x4' signs hinged together ,
that i use in front of my stump grinder,
for blocking flying chips etc...
They always get lots of attention.
I recently found a phone # where you can get 100 small signs for $199.00
Don't know about images or quality , as I have not ordered any yet.

Ive done it and its gotten me job after job. I rarely do one job in a neighborhood, but rather several. I put the sign up when I start the job, and I ask if I might leave one for a few days afterwards - remember to go back at pick them up, usually its not a problem cause I am working down the street.

Funny that you bring this up...

I just started the art for some new signs. A logo is key plus a phone number - and that's it. Too much on the sign and nobody reads it, but a logo builds recognition and the number enables the calls.

Haven't done the sign thing myself but have seen some that have a small box attached to it that holds flyer's so passers by can grab one. A good idea i think. HC

more importantly and the biggest letters on the sign should be TREE SERVICE. That gets them looking at the sign and what went on in the yard. The secondary recognition would be the company logo and after you get their brain thinking "I should call XYZ Tree Service", the number should be found on the sign. No clutter, just bold big letters with the three basics. Grass roots marketing

does anyone have a place online that they use? My local sign guy is 3 times the price of the places online for corrugated double sided yard signs. Looking for a reputable place that allows a custom company logo sent to them via email in a .eps type file

This is truly the perfect sign. The tree guy that we use has a sign just like that, and that's how we found him. Actually puts his sign at the entrance to the neighborhood, not in the yard.

i used them back in mass, they work very well. i used to get calls all the time saying we gotr your number off one of those signs.
well worth the money.
i am not allowed to use them here in florida though.
you will be amazed how many of your customers will let you leave them on the lawn. as long as you do a good job for them.
i am willing to bet yoy that your business will pick up alot from them.
