Unfortunately my old Chuck 'n' Duck i think has done what it can for me. It chips well but I am thinking I need something else as my business is growing. It was great for a starter though. Anyone interested in buying it can PM me. It is a WC-12 in fair condition. $4000.

What I really need help with is what to get with my $10,000 budget. I have been all over the internet. I would like a 12 incher with Hydraulic feed. I just don't want to get something that is on the verge of blowing up.

What wold you guys look for?

look for a morbark 290. was my first machine, had 4000 hours, diesel,. lasted me 2 years. and i sold it for what i bought it for, u should be able to find one for like 6000

That's a tough budget if you do not want something that will need work.

Order Tree Trader magazine.

I agree....You can just about bet that you're not going to find a dependable machine for that figure...I have learned the hard way that in this business, you get what you pay for.

I appreciate the advice. I looked around and it seems I would end up with a basket case. I am going to wait till summer and see how things look then. I wouldnt want to finance because everything I have now is paid for. I kinda like Insurance being the only bill. I am never sweatin'
