thanks fishercat thats the reply i was looking for, some one who has used different saws and not just ,stihl is the best because!

I also have tried every other make of top handle over the years and alway stay with the Stihl since the 015, 020, 020T, ms200T. If it was the 192 Stihl tho, I woulda stayed with the others. Homeowner's saw.

Every time I post that I get told it is kerf, wich is the space made by the cut. Narrow kerf is when you use a bar/chain set that is narrower then normal for the saw, less material removed means less work for the tool, which leads to better performance. The trade-off is you cant run as long a bar, though 18 inches is long enough for most of my canopy work.
