Bidding on a contract that is requiring air spade prices...Prices for vertical mulching and radial trenching. To be refilled with compost and mychrorhizae. Asking for price based on caliper..Ive always bid per tree and it has a tremendous varaition due to site location, (lawn, garden, near a sidewalk, road, etc..) but it is a bid spec... Any suggestions?

Figure out how you would bid the job however you normally price it. This is number "A"

Measure all of the trees and total the diameter. This is number "B"

A/B = your price per inch.

A/B = your price per inch.

Yup, just be sure to add in ALL your costs...compressor, product, mixing time, fill time, cleanup, possible delays, profit, etc., etc. You've done this before so just figure your time for similar trees (you've seen the trees to be treated right?) and divide by total diameter inches.

I don't think we can talk prices here, but....figure a twelve pack per inch:cheers:
