i have two saws with bad fuel lines. i looked up the part and it looks like a special size with tapered bits. has anyone used plain fuel line on one of these saws? how did it work out. am i asking for trouble by even trying the plain fuel line?

I have the same problem. Are these hard to get at? What do i have to take apart?

I did one some years ago & either used a grommet or may have used another section of larger fuel line over the top of the standard line to seal it... can't remember what ended up working best but I recall one not working as well as the other.
I once butchered the original fuel line to make a grommet on a different saw... not sure if that would be do-able for this tho
