Was in Lowes today (yes evil big box store) They had a 359 sitting on the floor in the clearance section (powerhead only) I asked the guy how much, he said half price ($240). I said can you give me a bar and chain with it? After asking the manager who said no, he said I could have it for $100 since it was incomplete (and a little dusty). It has never even had gas in it!
Any suggestions for the bar chain combo I should get for it?

I'm running a 20" bar on mine. But this is the only saw I own and I use it for falling and limbing the whole nine. It would probably like an 18" better. Wayne

from your heading it sounded like the deal had fallen thru.. glad u got it ..
we all have days like that ,just like we have the other kind..

Yeah I see what you mean about the heading Tony, I guess I meant that it almost felt like stealing when I left the store with it for that price.

Does oregon or carlton or some other manufacturer make a bar for this saw? I have been looking on Bailey's and CCD and it seems that none of the 20" bars have the 359 listed as a saw that they will fit. I guess I can use an 18" setup from my 55 for now, I am pretty sure that will work on the 359. Would it be best to just get the Husky bar from my local dealer, I think those are power match bars painted for Husky anyhow.

According to the Oregon website the 359 uses the K095 mount which you should find under the "powermatch bars for small huskies" heading at Bailey's. That is the same mount pattern as your 55. Other than price why have two saws so simliar in displacement?

Yeah Newfie, I really didn't need the 359 as I already have a 55. But for $100 I couldn't resist. I might get rid of the 55 if I like the 359 better, but we all know that I will probably keep all of my saws. (Echo 3400, Husqvarna 340,55,359) I am on the prowl for a 372 next. Thanks, I will check Bailey's.
