I stumbled on this site while researching a new Husky 346 or 357 and having gone back 20 pages or so the thought occurs to me that this site is about the same as some of the bike sites I'm on-only with chainsaws.I had no idea this type of thing was out there.Anyway,I was thinking of trading the 026 and 350 on a new Husky but after reading all this I'm thinking maybe I should keep what I've got and buy a new one as well.Between friends, relatives bikes, saws, other equipment,my own gear, daughters bikes,my own etc all I need is two more projects:dizzy: Thanks guys, thanks alot:( ;)

Back up slowly to the door, turn around and RUN FOR YOUR LIFE BEFORE THERE'S NO TURNING BACK! :hmm3grin2orange:

Seriously, welcome to the site. You'll find a lot of knowledgeable and helpful folks here and we all share the same sickness...SAWS! :help:

Aaaaahhhh, don't listen to these guys....don't run away. If the saw addiction becomes too serious we have 12-step programs, support groups, even interventions if you begin to slip over the edge. We know. We understand. :D Welcome to the site.

Why are you appologizing for your 026 in your sig?

Jeff

J/K Jeff.I can't complain. The Stihls been good to me but from what I've seen of the two brands I would have to say the Stihl is easier to work on and has better fit and finish but I find the Husky nicer to use. There are certainly lots of knowledgeable people here.I have a relatives 026 here now as the chain kept running(clutch spring) and it was working poorly. After reading some of the mod info I did a mild exhaust mod and some light port work(why butcher your own when you can guinea pig someone elses:clap: )Anyway,it works great with the screws richened up.The downside is,I filled the Husky up and lent it to him while I worked on his.He called tonight and said he ran that tank through and it worked great. He then filled it with some old gas he had laying around and it worked ok for a few minutes then quit and now if it starts it hardly runs. I'm crossing my fingers for a fouled plug but I'll see when I get it back.He wanted to know how his was coming along.Oh well.

Yep, our 12 step program cant be beat, it'll have you up and cutting in no time.

Step1: Buy a second saw.

Step2: Muffer mod 1st saw.

Step3: Buy a bigger bar and convert your saws to run the same size chisel chain.

Step4: Buy a third saw.

Step5: Buy a 4th saw.

Step:6 Repeat steps 1-5 untill broke or your garage is full or you reach step 12.

It doesn't end there...

Take over the basement... then the barn. You're ready to be commited when you use the dishwasher for a parts washer, and the oven for a paint baker... if the wife lets you, she's also infected.. Buy a second oven and dishwasher for the garage... get a job working in a Stihl dealership fixing junk for others... Then get over 6500 posts on AS.. and write this...:monkey:

No one ever told me about the 12 step program. How come no one has ever told me??? Is this an exclusive program?

I think you guys just like keeping some of us in the dark.

Never mind. I'm finding it very satisfying being in the dark. ;)

Not a problem - you can't have enough chainsaws... and I agree - the Husky is the better bet!
