To contrast some who have pushed my patience and also obviuosly yours as seen by that high shipping ebay post...here,s a rendition of an excellent ebay experience:
I bid and purchased a large Homelite 1020 for parts to get one of mine ready for work. I was expecting a PARTS SAW!!! Being a little savey and expecting, as I have had in the past; overly optimistic descriptions. This seller was dead on accurate when he siad it needed a little cleaning but should be a working saw.
It needed a carb kit and it runs really well. Anyway....the saw was a Homelite XL-1020 and is HEAVY! And now the one I had planned to build is the "Parts Saw" and this one I got from ebay is the runner.
As far as the shipping cost? He charged only $15 dollars for shipping AND it got here within a week. The other places I had worked with charged $35 dollars.
The saw was MUCH better than I had expected and his communication was much better than ALL the other places I have purchased used saws and motorcycles.
The seller was "arborist199"
If you run into one of his/her auctions, trust what he says.
