Ok I bid these 3 removels... I lost the bid I got I feeling I wasn't really ever get the job but thats the biz right.
But still im second guessing myself if I was to high.. id like to hesr some solid bids not a bunch of wise comments. If some experienced guys would like to help a new*b I would really appreciate it.

Ok neighbors workin together to drop these pines.
I figured 90-100 feet up 34-37 inch wide no stump grinding able to drop tree by house into the open lot over fence.
I know pics are deceiving but id really like to hear what ya got...

Was your bid just to get them on the ground, or what else was included?

Just drop them 3 trees $1200-$1500 drop and chip branches $1600-$2000 drop chip and remove wood $2100-$2600

Complete removel no stump grinding
I bid them 2200 thought that was very fair

I think that is a fair price... but then again I been under bid in half before... We all need work but some times you have to decide what is worth for you. $2200 for seems fair wood handling alone is going to be a days work unless you have a decent size operation. Welcome to AS

I also think you gave them a decent price.
If someone looks hard enough, they will always be able to find someone cheaper, cause some guys will kill themselves for next to nothing. I don't want to be known as the cheapest guy to call.

Same here. They look to be in the $2000-$2500 range for all three.
Any one of them could be a $700 or $800 dollar tree individually.

You're in the ballpark, win some, loose some. I'm gonna mention the name of a national tree company, no disrespect meant to the company. They had a few crews in our area that drove us nuts. I guess I just could have said the big orange one, but these were Asplundh crews. Back when there average worker made about $75 bucks a day, they would look at a job like that, and if there was 4 men on the crew, bid would be $400. They would come back after 4oclock when they were done. They would use the Asplundh bucket, Asplundh chipper, dump big chunks in the yard and dent it all up, leave the wood and split. In a couple hours they made more than a days pay and were happy. Drove us nuts, but that's life, Joe.

I would've bid 1600. 2 hours work with the big equipment.

Bidding without having a crane, I would bid $2000 for a complete removal and it'll take most of the day.

I would do them for $600 a tree. $700 if there was only 1. i would attempt to zip line everything except the top and the last 20' of the stem. me and 1 groundie could easily do 3 in 2 days. if no zip line, make a pad, and get it all down in 1 day and some cleaned up. then have a miserable second day cleaning up the mess. i like to set my estimated wage at $400 a day. some i end up with less, some more. I've been averaging $50 an hour profit. i don't think you over bid it. but i could see them getting bids above and below it. no matter the price, you have to sell yourself. give them confidence in you.
