I have yet to figure out the color switches between the Root saws. They seemed to switch between red and blue quite a bit. The saw I posted pics of is a blue one with a 820. I had a red one with a 820 but sold it to a member here. I am pretty sure I have a blue 610 as well as a red 610 around here somewhere. For a short time I had a blue 580 as well as a red AH47. I know there are some others in the shed . Lancaster did the same thing with switching colors........not sure why

Leeha,,, If I may ask a silly question, what is that thingy on the fuel tank, manual oiler or fuel tap maybe. It just looks like the knob of it is missing or something. I'm just not up to speed on these old girls.

 
Ok guys, Heres a video. Not very impressive.
It feels low on compression. Second cut was better.
I put a new loop of 7/16 chain on her. The 1/2 inch
was wrong for the sprocket.
I can see why the air filter was so vulnerable, I had
to be carfull as to not hit it with the log.
