Wow, $325 for an 017! $50 for a case! $35 to ship! I think I'm going to bid! Does this guy really think people are that dumb? Or is he the one that got snookered by paying $375 for an 017 and a case to begin with?

I think he went to P.T. Barnum's School for the gifted and is passing on the lesson. I think he got took. Look at his feed back rating 1002 with a 98.7% positive. If any one wants to make money on ebay I have about 5 or 6 cases (lightly used by the abusive) that I would sell for $10 each plus shipping. If you take this guys crash course you should be able to at least triple your money. :blob2:

i have always told myself i'll never get rich selling chainsaws. but, $325.00 for a $200.00 017(new), $335.00 for a $125.00 031 and $10.00 to sharpen 1 chain. i think i can get rich and it won't even take very long. marty

Don't forget that shipping for those $10 used cases klickitatsacket would be about $25 anywhere in the lower 48!! LOL!!!

I wont pay more than $30 for shipping. unless its something worth the money, like a car, or a heavy weapon, like a panzer.

Charging outrageous shipping is a way to circumvent eBay fees. If I'm willing to pay $150 total for and item, it can be $130 plus $20 shipping, or $50 plus $100 shipping. When the selling price is lower, eBay's final value fees are lower.

I'll pay $35-$40 for a bigger saw. I bought an 056 Super that the guy charged me $25 shipping, when it got here, the postage was like $42. He ate that $17. I just bought a 460 Mag, and shipping is $35. I'll pay that for a 15 lb saw and 28" bar. Now, for a set of dawgs or an oil pump, you can get that through the mail for $6, and I don't like paying much more than that.

Take care all,
Jeff

i think if i was gonna update my saw i would ask you guys i sure someone out threre would want to up date thiers to let a bigger dog eat

One thing about e-bay,if you think it's too high a price, just wait. For example,I've seen super pro 125 Macs go for $750,I paid $125 .I once saw a super pro 81 go for $175,minus the starter and clutch,I paid $67.Normal shipping, from the west coast ,to here in Ohio,is about $1.00 per pound.I don't mind a couple of dollars for packaging, but I draw the line on extant prices.I had some clown in Conn.,try and charge me $42.00 to ship a Mac 610,which should have been about half that. It's my practice to always ask about shipping, before I bid,and I save the reply. They can only rip you off,if you let them.

$335.81 for an old 031!!!! Jeez, where were those bidders when I put my 031 up for sale? Oh, wait, I did a "Buy It Now". Nevermind :dizzy:

Jimbo

Well he sold it for 222.50 I dont know how much the case is but i can get a new 170 for 179.95.

Just goes to show that most people using ebay really don't know what they are buying and really get caught up in the moment when they start bidding and all of a sudden they have to win at almost any cost. Gotta love it.........especially when your selling!
