When working the bush it is imperative not to damage the residual stand by winching trees indescriminately, causing debarking of the crop trees ect., Having the butt of the log as close to the skid trail is an added advantage, so here is a snappy little way of putting the tree where you want it.
This vid also attests to how fast a rocked out chain can really cut.

Yeah, I did that once too...

Tree tipped a couple of feet over where it was supposed to. Slid down another just like yours, but mine had a branch sticking out that slid behind the angled tree and squashed the crap out of my gas can.

Mine did take longer, but, well, you know how it goes somedays.
