I finally got the spider off the 49SP today, but the woodruff key is pretty well buggered up.Does anyone know the size of the key?Apparently the FW takes the same key. This saw is really biting me in the hindquarters.I've got the part # - 573801500.I refuse to pay $10 for a 50 cent key that's on feebay.

You can just file a key down to fit. The hardware store doesn't have a suitable key?

I assumed that this key was metric,& when I called the hardware store they told me they didn't carry metric woodruff keys.I'd like to know how I'm supposed to hold a key that small to file it?I tried filing a key once & had no luck.

Turned out pretty well. Starts, runs, idles, oils. No cutting until I can find that duct and seal for the air filter.

The cover on the handlebar was pretty rough.

I have some heat shrink tubing that does a nice job if you work it carefully. The pattern is different but it actually provides a pretty nice grip.

Mark, is it the little black plastic duct that slides into place between the carb and the air filter chamber? If so, I'm sure I have an extra.
