Here's a Lombard 34 that I finished restoring with a before and after pic.

Nice looking saws guys. I’m more vintage than antique right now. I’m in the late 70’s to today I guess but the antique saws look great. Can you imagine running some of them for 8 hours everyday? Heavier than a Chevy.

Probably start restoring this one soon.

I believe the color scheme should be cream and red, there seems to be a lot of different colors on this one.

Also can anyone tell me what it is, I already know its a Power Machinery "Canadian", but how do I tell if its a 210 etc?

Nice, I'm thinking model 21

Would anyone happen to know of a crankcase bearing part number (or raw dimensions) that would fit the AH47 engine in an old Sears & Roebuck saw (one of those 917.xxxxx, don't have the number here in front of me)?

I have it torn down pretty far but haven't pulled the seals and bearings yet. I can probably measure with my calipers and do some digging to find a fit, just thought I'd check if someone already had the answer to this.

Thanks

I don't tink they were made of cast iron Joe.If that were the caser the saw would be so heavy you wouldn't be able to pick it up.Maybe some of the components were made of cast iron.

Hey Ed. That was a little joke. Steve said he got rid of all his saws and was now collecting cast iron cookware. But, when that old chainsaw bug bights, you can't get them out of your system.

I've seen 3 ring pistons in old saws before, but nothing quite like this. PM Canadien model 21.
What amazes me is the weight. The piston weighs less than the piston out of an 80cc mac.

Now that I've got the saw torn apart, I am really impressed by the design and engineering that went into it. Also I got lucky as this saw is in incredibly good shape for its age.
