Just picked up my next victim last weekend. Chain is on backwards but she's got a nice fat blue spark and seems to be all there. There is a petcock on the right side you can see in the second pic, it looks to go into the oil tank but has no line attached, can't figure out where that's supposed to go . . .

I also had a MW that was blue and a pistol grip. I called it the Fat Boy! It was really wide. Slow but mighty!
 
Got this on the weekend. Turns over, piston looks great through the exhaust. No spark, and the starter is stuck solid.

Anyone have any tricks to getting the starter un-frozen?
 
By starter, you mean recoil ?

Never messed with a David Bradley but hey, its only a machine.
 
Modified the Clinton D-35 to use a Tilly HL from a 070/090 type Stihl.
I did away with the original Walbro fuel pump.

Lots of tinkering to transfer the original throttle and choke shafts to the much larger bore carb.

Modified the carb to use an external impulse hose.

Does anyone know the seal dimensions for a Power Products AH-47 engine? I have the David Bradley apart and want to put new seals in it if they are available and a common size.

The saw is in remarkably good shape for its age, almost no wear. Its going to get a full restoration, bead blasted, primed, painted, clear coat, new bearings etc. Should look good when its done.
 
If you have it all torn down, I'd grab a micrometer and figure out the crank O.D. and the side cover I.D. dimensions.
You should be able to find something close from Timken or another general seal supplier.
 
Maybe check with the vintage go-cart forums? pretty sure a few run power products engines.

I lucked out and my Strunk with an AH-47 ran without issue . . . so far.
