Ive been interested in learning how to climb for a while but i dont know of anyone in my area that does it. I was wondering if either their are classes for it or any videos or books that might be of recomendation.

Sorry for such a newb question ha

Start with the Tree Climbers Companion. Read it through a few times then come back and start asking questions. Wesspur has some book bundles that might be worth a look:

The tree climbers companion is one of the best books around, but it's pretty basic. There is no definitive book that will show you how to climb. This book gives you most of the basic tools - knots, hitches etc and basic climbing techniques. It is used as a course book for some basic climbing courses and if you can cover all the competencies in it then you've got a good start, but it's just a beginning. You need guidance from an experienced climber to go with it.
