Hey, don't you guys know those old saws have that special "oil injection" button and a separate oil tank!:D

Check his feedback. Never sold anything but has bought lots of parts. Wonder why?

oh yea, i forgot about the oil injection button. i guess you give it 4 squirts for 40:1, huh. i had a girlfriend once, she had this little button..................... oops, that's way off topic.

That looks like one of the ones with 2-stroke Power Products engines. I sent an email asking where the carb was. The photo also seems reversed.

I get some customers that think their saws run on straight gas. They are usually the ones that end up having me put a new piston and cylinder on the saw :D

Why didnt beginner think of using straight gas on his Dads saw, then after the seizure, take out the plug, pour in a teaspoon of 2 cycle mix, turn it over a bit and voila, his Dad gets a new saw on warranty.

I emailed the guy and politely told him that the saw should actually be fed an oil/gas mixture. His reply:

the man i got it from has owned it for the past 30 years, and thats all he ran in it and ive owned it for the past year, it has a feed line that runs the chain oiler and the motor.

Lucky??? Stupid??? Both??? Or can this saw actually have a primitive oil injection system?

Stupid. Maybe lucky, but stupid.

I bugged the guy a little and he found the "1/2 pint 30wt to gallon of gas" decal. The engine also turns out to be your average AH47 Power Products 2-stroke.

I had a guy take out a new Partner 5000 ( this was several years ago). The old man went off semi truck driving and left the saw it to his son who had an oil injected Yahama dirt bike. You can fill in the rest of the story.

Partner thought it was soo pathetic that they supplied a free upper end set just for good will.

Almost no one read manuals, haven't for years.

It's called the PREDATOR....They are somewhat faster than a regular 2-stroke. In fact this saw burns staight Av-gas just to start runin good.

Come on guys, all saws run on straight gas. I have never seen one that didn't. Some run longer than others Some will run a few minutes and others will run a few hours. I would imagine she smokes quite a little if the seller is telling the truth about the n"" rigged line from the bar oil tank. I wonder what it is actually running for a mix. If the bar oil is thin I would imagine it is closer to 5:1. I notice it does not have any bids yet.
