30mph gusts are normally our limit to work in on non emergency type work. The windchill is 13 degrees and the wind is at 28mph. Just sent a few of them to wood pile and the rest to help the others guys out clearing in the woods. Damn its cold.
Yea the problem is the chipper was gelled up and the bucket was moving like a snail so with that being said the day was long and sloooowwwwww, but we toughed it out and made a little scratch .
Didn't notice the cold to much, to busy working but I guess it was a little windy.
The worst is when you gotta take a leak and the poor thing is all shriveled up under all those clothes. You can't find it and you really gotta squirt but its buried so deep and you start to panic a little so then you start ripping and yanking... that's when you find it. Ouch! Poor guy, head's all froze, anywhere you aim its bound to blow back on you. What a nightmare.
Call that a mudflap here In Ar. Dan,It,s used to keep the dirt out of your meow meow meow!
17 degrees and winds 25-30. Luckily the chipper is in for a new paint job and I'm ganging up with a few guys to go nunting for the next couple of days. Not going to work till next year!!
The tree chick from the WARM country is getting a load of the COLD!!!:jawdrop:
I'm in Boston...went for a walk today in 28 degrees all layered up but ...fet...my face nearly froze!
Got one of those balaclava thingies, and life improved dramaticly after that.
Now I just need to keep my eyeballs from freezing as I gaze in awe at the trees...
