anyone know what this fungi is

I'm struggling to find out what this is can anyone help

looks like ganoderma, where you at? How high off the ground is it? If you scrape the white part off with your fingernail is it immediately brown underneath?

.... on second thought maybe not, it looks a little high off the ground for ganoderma but I wouldn't rule it out. what kind of tree is it?

It's a large mature ash, I'd say the fungi is about fifteen feet off the ground and it's in north east England .

Nearest i could get would be Daldinia concentrica, but colour is not right.
