I've got an old Craftsman 2.3PS PowerSharp saw and just curious if anyone knows who made it for Sears. Don't have any clue what year it might be, I bought it used about 20 years ago. I keep it around for a backup saw and the darn thing runs great after the first start (hard to start cold). Just have to remember that it has a manual oiler!

I this a top-handle saw, kind of round in shape? I would guess it's a Poulan 25 or 2300.

Yep, it's a Poulan "Pull-On". The older metal cased saws actually made pretty good arborist saws. They had good power to weight ratio, and were relatively cheap in their day.

I'm looking for one of these real cheap need not run. I need a starter assy, flywheel and a sprocket. Anyone got a siezed on to part with?

That one on ebay that I linked to above was listed for $5.00 and didn't get any bids. Try contacting the seller and see if he still has it.

There's a green version of the saw I need on e-bay for 99 cents! The one I have would probably have its image enhanced by wearing a few green parts. The saw was found in the garbage by a co-worker who bet me I couldn't make it work.

here's a picture of the saw I need, it's a poulan 25 I'd prefer the red Craftsman version but I'll take what I can get.
