I was wondering if any of you guys ever use a 3 wheel forklift instead of a skidsteer. Seems like one would be ideal for getting wood out. Any input is appreciated...

I don't have any action pictures , but that 3 wheeler is great for picking/loading concrete slabs. We busted a 10 ft. x 20 ft. driveway slab with a misguided stub. The delivery guy/nextdoor took $20.00 to load all in about 15 min.. The owner of the driveway said he was going to replace it anyway due to root cracking. Worked out great for all of us.

Looks like it would work OK. They are 3 wheel drive yes? Prolly quite a bit of ground pressure? What do they weigh? I want a small 4wd utility tractor because of so many other possible uses. It seems like everybody is looking for alternatives to swingers and multi-tracs. Why is this? Price alone? Swingers are great aren't they? I've never used a multi-trac but they look good. How much do they cost? What about mini-trak loaders? Bobcat, ramrod, dingo. What's the best. I stil like the tractor cause it can run a stump grinder and mow but it's not perfect either.

I use A300 BOBCAT SKID STEER i dont have a grapple for it now but some day.I have 1 yard snow bucket so i can fit alot of wood plus snow plow.I have turf tires. Will cause damage to lawn if it is saturated.I used it today.Lawn was not fully dry but not too moist no sign i was there. Its big machine 80 inches wide capable of picking up 3000 lbs easy 10 and half feet high.

We already have a case mini skidster and a gehl skidloader... But there is a upcoming local auction with several of these forklifts up for sale. I think they can lift into the 4500lb range? I've seen lowes move pallets of cement mix through a pasture with no problems. Just wondering if anyone has used one to move logs or other stuff .. and how good it worked.

most lumber yards use them for job site deliveries. i do not know how they would work for moving logs. i havent seen any attachments for them other than the forks. they are very mobile, fantastic turning radius and the whole fork assembly can move forward, backward and side to side independent of the carriage. they do leave ruts in soft ground though.
