Ok well in my back yard I have this apple tree during a storm a branch came off in a bad spot. is there anything that i can do to save the branch in the pic or should i cut it off and hope a new sucker come and makes a nice Branch for me?

I have a white arrow pointing to the rest of the branch.

Do not give up your day job, unless you are a proffesional photographer.:D

It looks like the branch tore away rather cleanly, so not much to do in terms of cutting off a stub or anything like that. Just wait and see what grows out of that spot. Next year you'll see some shoots growing out of that area and you may do a little selective trimming at that time to encourage one or two of them to fill in the void.
Apple trees take hard pruning pretty well and grow back quickly. In a few years you won't even miss the limb.

Several of us have probably seen a similar VOLUME of damage from sunburn - "you know" where the top foliage was pruned off in late May causing the top of the trunk -bark- to get sunburned, leaving dead areas that even fill with pools of water years later after decay.

My point is, although that's a weakness, I've seen the sunburn damaged trees with damage on top, last for years.

At least your damage is below, which is far better.

If you were to break a closet rod over your knee, and there was a saw cut only 1/3 of the way through it, you would want the cut facing up, not down.

You probably just need to clean the shredded edges, and check the limb yearly.
